After over ten years of successful touring playing their original songs on the east coast with yearly trips out west and the Caribbean, the members of Urban Grass decided to relocate to Los Angeles in 2012.
The Urban Grass sound combines
elements of rock, reggae and bluegrass in an original progressive mix.
Creative songwriting and insightful lyrics are brought to life by solid musicianship and textured vocal harmonies. With musical vision, emotional impact and artistic expression at the center of the Urban Grass ethos, the music spans the range of Reggae, Rock, Bluegrass, Funk, Folk and Blues all within
the course of any show.
Steve and Josh have been playing together for over 15 years. After moving to LA they have hooked up with some great players with heart and talent. Sometimes the lucky part in making music is not being discovered it’s discovering the people you make the music with!
Urban Grass is currently a five piece band playing all over California and the Caribbean. Guitar, mandolin, violin, melodica, stand up bass and drums lay down the music while three-part harmonies are laid on the top. Whether it’s at a club, a festival, or a private party, the band plays tunes that both inspire and entertain.
